If you're a coach and you’re using video as a core part of your content strategy—but you're not consistently getting new inbound leads or clients from it—this post is for you.

Because I’m going to walk you through the exact video funnel I’m using right now in 2025 to attract consistent inbound leads and clients from just one to two videos per month. These aren’t random videos either—these are strategic, intentional campaigns designed to build momentum and convert.

From Live Streams to Short Form to Long Form: What’s Actually Working Now

I’ve been using video in my business since before it was cool—we’re talking 2013, when I was still running my gym.

Back then, I was shooting scrappy fitness videos and posting them to Facebook. Then came the live video era—I remember jumping on live every day around 2016–2017, right after Facebook jacked the idea from Periscope (shhh...)

From 2019 to 2022, I went live almost every single day.

But then the game changed again. Short-form video took over. And while it still works in some contexts, the tides are turning once more.

Why Long-Form Video Is Key in 2025

Recent studies by Google and Meta found that before someone invests $500+ in a product or service, they typically need:

  • 7 hours of content consumed

  • 11 touchpoints

  • 4 different formats (video, email, podcast, etc.)

That’s why long-form video content is back—and it’s a key piece of your conversion strategy.

Because information alone is a commodity.

If your video content is just surface-level how-to’s, it’s gonna get lost in the noise. What you need is a funnel that builds trust, shifts beliefs, and invites people to take action.

So let me break it down for you.


Step 1: Know Your Magic Money Math

Before you make a single video, you’ve gotta know your numbers.

I call this your Magic Money Math—because just like someone trying to lose weight can’t control the scale, but can control their workouts and meals…

You can’t control how many people say "yes" on a sales call.

But you can control:

  • How many offers you make

  • How many calls you book

  • How many conversations you start

Let’s say your goal is to book 50 Zoom sales calls this month.

If your close rate is 50%, that’s 25 clients. Boom.

Now reverse engineer: how many call offers do you need to make daily to hit 50 by the end of the month?

For most of my clients, it’s somewhere around 2–3 call offers per day.

✅ If you can’t make 2–3 call offers per day…

👉 You need 10 meaningful conversations with warm or hot leads.

❌ If you’re not having those…

👉 You need better content.

And if you are posting but still hearing crickets?

➡️ Your messaging is off.

Your message-to-market match is broken.

Fix that—and people will start raising their hand.


The 6-Step Funnel Overview

Let me show you the actual strategy that I use and teach. It works like gangbusters when you implement it with clarity and consistency.

Here's the 6-step breakdown:

  1. Run a Conversion Content Campaign

  2. Ask viewers to comment for a Micro Win Offer

  3. Start Messenger conversations with every commenter

  4. Diagnose their problem + offer a free audit or consultation

  5. Book a 15–20 minute call or send a Micro-VSL and Offer Doc

  6. Send the payment link to those who are ready to join

Simple. Direct. Scalable.


Step 2: Run a Conversion Content Campaign

This is the engine of the funnel. Think of it like a mini-launch.

You’ll post 2–5 pieces of content that all drive to a single video (either live, pre-recorded, or Zoom-based).

These posts should have:

  • Bold, curiosity-driven hooks

  • Clear, specific calls to action

  • Messaging that matches your market

Examples of video types:

  • A live crash course

  • A pre-recorded training

  • A 25-minute “crash course” video on YouTube

We call these conversion events—they act like a funnel.

You're not just making content. You're making money-generating assets.

Reminder: If your posts don’t convert… you’re not a coach—you’re an underpaid content creator.


Step 3: Drive Hand Raisers to a Micro Win Offer

Here’s where we break away from outdated tactics.

Instead of a bloated PDF or a fancy ebook no one reads… you offer what I call a:

Micro Win Offer

This is a small, high-value tool that helps your leads get a quick result, insight, or clarity—within 10 minutes or less.

Great Micro Win Offers:

  • A custom GPT tool

  • A printable cheat sheet

  • A simple calculator

  • A 1-page visual they can use immediately

The key is: simple, usable, tangible.

And when your video CTA is:

“Comment MICRO and I’ll send you the tool that’s helping coaches get 5–10 warm leads per week…”

Guess what?

Your inbox starts filling up.


Step 4: Start Conversations and Book Calls

You’ve now got leads raising their hand. Now it’s time to:

  • Like + reply to every comment

  • Send a message asking a few simple questions to diagnose their problem

  • Offer a short call or a micro VSL + Offer Doc

This is where trust gets built. You’re not hard selling—you’re coaching people into clarity.

And when it’s done right, they ask: “How do I work with you?”


Step 5: Send a Micro-VSL Before the Sales Call

I love using what I call a Micro VSL (Video Sales Letter) to warm people up before they jump on a call.

Here’s what it includes:

  • A powerful story

  • Your unique method or mechanism

  • A core belief shift (aka "The Big Domino")

  • Strong social proof

This isn’t just a pitch—it’s pre-suasion.

And it helps filter out the tire-kickers so you only get on calls with the right people.


Step 6: Send the Link, Close the Sale

Once they’ve watched the video or joined the call, it’s simple:

If they’re ready, send the link.

No endless back-and-forth. No convincing. Just conversion.

If you want people to not only watch your video but take action, use this structure:

1. Chance (Headline + Hook)

Grab attention in the first 5–10 seconds.

2. Capture (Who It’s For + Credibility)

Let people know: this is for them.

3. Core (The Big Idea + Teaching)

Deliver insight, shift beliefs, and teach a tangible concept.

4. CTA (Your Micro Win Offer)

Give them a reason to comment, opt-in, or DM you.

5. Close (Recap + CTA again)

Bring it all home. Make the next step clear.

Use this flow in every long-form video and watch your engagement—and conversions—go up.


Why Old Lead Magnets Are Dead

Let’s call it like it is: PDFs and gated content don’t convert like they used to.

They feel like homework.

They gather digital dust.

They don’t create momentum, and they don’t build trust.

Instead, use Micro Win Offers that are:

  • Fast

  • Useful

  • Memorable

  • Actionable

This builds reciprocity. And when people feel a win from your free stuff, they naturally want more.


Staying in Momentum (My Daily Rhythm)

Want to keep the momentum going after running this funnel? Here’s what I personally do:

  • Morning Silence (10–20 mins) to center myself

  • Follow a consistent Content Cadence

  • Start 3–10–30 conversations daily (3 call offers, 10 convos, 30 mins of focus)

  • Grow audience with simple top-of-funnel activities

  • Focus on progressive projects (like running the funnel)


If You’re Not Getting Results, It’s Usually One of Three Things:

  1. Wrong audience – You’re not connected with the right people.

  2. Wrong message – You’re saying the wrong thing or saying it the wrong way.

  3. Vanilla content – You’re blending in instead of standing out.

✅ You don’t need to be outrageous. But you do need to be clear, compelling, and courageous with your content.

Learn to write hooks. Tell better stories. Sharpen your CTA. Polish the message until it punches.
